Keeping It Sharp brings that same professional standard directly to Orange County homes through a fully mobile sharpening service. Knives are sharpened on-site and returned quickly, allowing families and home cooks to enjoy the performance of a professionally sharpened edge without leaving home.

About Brandon
Keeping It Sharp is owned and operated by Brandon Ferguson, who spent 11 years working in the culinary industry before starting the business.
His experience includes catering, a whole animal butcher shop, upscale New American restaurants, as well as cooking on set for the television shows The Bachelor and The Bachelorette.
Brandon’s sharpening journey began after a sharpening service damaged his Shun chef knife. Rather than risk another poor result, he learned to sharpen his own knives and soon began maintaining knives for coworkers and fellow cooks.
He later spent a year working in a butcher shop learning to break down whole animals, a craft that requires extremely sharp, reliable knives. This experience deepened his understanding of blade performance and edge geometry.
Over time, Brandon realized that Orange County lacked a high-quality mobile sharpening service for serious home cooks. After sharpening for family and friends, he launched Keeping It Sharp to bring professional-level knife care directly to local kitchens.
Today he continues to sharpen every knife personally, combining a cook’s understanding of tools with a commitment to precision and craftsmanship.
Brandon lives in Orange County with his wife and young family, where cooking at home remains one of their favorite ways to spend time together.
