Sharpening is done on-site from our work truck, and your knives are returned to you as soon as they are finished—typically within an hour.

    Most residential appointments are completed in under an hour, even for larger knife sets.

    Because sharpening is done on-site from our work truck, your knives never leave your home and are returned to you as soon as they are finished.

  • Most knife manufacturers recommend sharpening about once per year for typical home use.

    If you cook frequently, sharpening every 6–12 months helps maintain performance and safety.

    Regular honing between sharpenings will also help maintain the edge.

  • Yes. If you invite another home to join your appointment, both households receive 10% off.

    Many neighborhoods schedule two or three homes together, making sharpening convenient for everyone.

    Make sure to include this as you schedule your service.

    If they join last minute, they are still welcome! Just notify us that they will be joining!

  • We sharpen nearly all kitchen knives including:

  • Yes. We have extensive experience sharpening Japanese knives of many types and steels.

    Japanese knives often use harder steels and more acute edge angles than Western knives.

    Whether your blade is Damascus, Carbon Steel, Blue Steel, Single-Bevel or a specialty knife. We sharpen them carefully to preserve their intended geometry and cutting performance.

  • To maintain your edge:

    • Use a wood cutting board, it is easiest on your knife’s edge
    • Avoid cutting on glass, granite, or stone
    • Hone your knife daily or weekly with a honing rod
    • Hand wash and dry knives rather than using the dishwasher!!!

    Proper care will keep your knives performing well between sharpenings.

    • if you have a carbon steel blade, apply mineral oil weekly.

    • if you have wooden handles apply mineral oil monthly.

  • Every knife is sharpened to its designed edge angle.

    Different knives are designed for different purposes, steels, and cutting styles. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all angle, we sharpen each knife according to the manufacturer’s design.

  • All sharpening is done on-site from our mobile sharpening truck. Your knives never leave your property.

    This allows you to get professional sharpening without waiting days for a shop or shipping knives away.

  • We provide mobile knife sharpening throughout Orange County, including:

    If you are outside Orange County, feel free to contact us and we can see if we service your area. Travel outside the county may require a service fee.

  • If you live in Orange County, there is no service fee for coming to your home.

    If you live outside Orange County and your appointment is approved, you will be charged a service fee.

  • Yes.

    We perform tip repairs and chip repairs for knives that have been damaged through normal use or accidents

  • Not necessarily.

    Many customers simply leave their knives in a designated location, and we return them once sharpening is complete. If you'd prefer to be present or want to talk about your knives, you're welcome to do so.

    Our goal is to make the process as convenient as possible.

    You are able to pay with Venmo or Zelle.

    In addition to residential sharpening, we also service restaurants, professional chefs, and culinary professionals throughout Orange County.
